History
The story so far
Iconic Auctioneers records OKD 698F as one of a group distributed to Liverpool & Bootle Police at Spekeland Street in April 1968, with provenance said to be supported by British Motor Industry Heritage Trust material and a substantial history file. The public record does not yet identify every station posting, operational incident or disposal date. A major mechanical and body restoration took place from 2002 onward, followed by extensive public appearances including the 2009 Goodwood Revival and a 2012 auction sale.

Physical traces and documented details
Car-specific evidence reported during restoration includes clear front indicator lenses with amber bulbs, uncovered upper dashboard rail and A-post surfaces, and holes interpreted as a mounting for a telephone handset cup. The restored roof box, radio and warning equipment should be understood as restoration-supported equipment rather than proof that every component remained continuously with the car.
